What I’m going to present to you is a truly revolutionary concept that will change the way you think about exercise, forever.

In fact, I’m probably going to turn your entire view of exercise upside down. If you’ve been disappointed with your lack of results, this article will be a revelation.

The principles of this exciting information are firmly embedded in science. However, more contemporary research suggests this new frontier will change how we approach nutrition and exercise in the future.

Like it or not, the reality of today’s modern lifestyle, is that most people can afford to devote an hour or less to physical exercise 3-6 times a week. Quite often that time is “eaten into” by commuting to-and-from the fitness facility, possibly a shower 'n' change of clothes ready to head off to the next destination.

The fact is, most of us are physically active for just a handful of hours a week!

That’s life - everyone is busy and has other commitments. If you do find the time to exercise consistently, let me commend you on your efforts.

The problem is, most people that do commit to exercise 4, 5 or even 6 times a week still don’t get the results they really want - dramatic, fantastic, permanent improvements in how they look. Be honest, this is big reason why people make the time to exercise.

More and more people are becoming aware of the need for exercise. People in their thousands sign-up for all kinds of fitness classes and health club memberships. Fitness accreditation facilities all over Australia crank-out thousands of personal trainers every month.  However, the incidence of obesity and type-2 diabetes keep increasing.

The problem...

Here lies the conundrum. More people are exercising but we are unhealthier and fatter than ever before in human history, and it’s getting worse every year.

The reason why most people don’t get the results they so desperately desire is, they view exercise the wrong way. They don’t really understand the role exercise has to play in the modern lifestyle. Let me explain.

Exercise Physiologist know the most intense exercise only burns around 10 calories – a minute! For most people, that means a rigorous, hour-long workout will only burn around 250-500 calories. Now consider that just one hamburger ‘n’ fries can easily contain over 900 calories. That’s one meal. You can start to see where many people get it wrong – they attempt to use exercise as a trade off, a means to burn off excess calorie consumption.

Have you noticed that your gym is always the most crowded on Monday evening?

It’s a feeble attempt to burn off the weekends indulgences. It doesn’t work. To complicate matters, the wrong information about exercise is perpetuated by fitness professionals.

The cause of the problem....

Firstly, most fitness experts recommend that as soon as a person can perform physical activity for 20 minutes, they should increase it to 30 minutes, then 40 minutes, then 60. That is, to achieve improvements, as soon as they can complete ‘x’ amount of time ‘comfortably’ the individual should increase the duration. My question is “why?

What’s the objective, to exercise for as long as you can every single workout?

Who really wants to spend more and more of their day exercising?

How sustainable is that?

Here’s another piece of misinformation that really amazes me......

Some experts recommend that you have to perform exercise for ‘x’ amount of time, to ‘tap’ into fat stores and burn body fat. This misinformation originates from respiratory quotient studies on fuel utilization during exercise, and it’s totally misleading. The data has been taken completely out of context by people that don’t know how to apply research-based information. With regards to promoting efficient, effective results from exercise, this information is dead wrong, it’s not even close to being right.

Hopefully, you agree with me that firstly, the objective of your program is not to exercise for as long as possible.

Secondly, most people today are doing well if they can commit to 3-6 hours a week of physical exercise.

Therefore, in today’s busy world, to achieve the body shape we really want, each of us has to make efficient choices. Not only about the type and quantity of exercise we perform but also, choices that maximize the effects of every single moment spent exercising.

Okay, so how can you accelerate fat loss, strength gains and create a great looking body when you’re devoting only a handful of hours to exercise each week?

Let me introduce you to Metabolic Nutrition Timing.

Metabolic Nutrition Timing is the strategic consumption of the correct nutrients at the right time to dramatically improve results from exercise training. This exciting frontier in sports nutrition science has been the corner stone of my research for more than 10 years.

Presented at the American College of Sports Medicine's annual convention

You may hear ‘experts’ talk about the timing of nutrients with exercise etc, but only a handful of scientists around the world have researched this topic in detail – I’m one of them. In fact, award-winning research I completed at Australia’s Victoria University, demonstrated the nutrition strategies presented in Metabolic Precision may double the results you’d normally experience.

Imagine that? Double your results!

When you consume the right foods at the correct time, you create the perfect metabolic environment for fat loss, muscle recovery and better health – all at once! Once you know what are the correct foods and the correct times it all becomes easy. When you understand the simple rules, you know exactly what are the best choices to make and, what a poor choice is that will derail progress.

Even better, when you know how to construct metabolically precise meals you’ll have the solutions for any situation, every day. You’ll know exactly how to eat to harness the power of exercise to improve energy levels, fat loss and body shape. Importantly, you’ll program your metabolism to avoid overeating and body fat accumulation. Quite simply, Metabolic Nutrition Timing makes food work for you.
